Real estate and interior design in the Aix-en-Provence region
In the historic center of Aix-en-Provence, the real estate stock is mainly made up of apartments located in old buildings. These apartments are popular with Aix residents because of their location and their historic character. However, they are often dilapidated and deserve renovation work to be more adapted to contemporary lifestyles, especially since floor space is often limited.
In the suburbs of Aix, there are more pavilion-type townhouses as well as apartments built in the second half of the 20th century. Although less dilapidated than the apartments in the city center, these homes can benefit from a modernization in terms of circulation, a renovation using new materials, additional openings to bring in light or a garden landscaped by a landscaper.
Outside Aix, particularly in the Lubéron, typical Provençal farmhouses (Mas provencal) are highly sought after because of their authenticity and the exceptional living environment they offer.
